This valley totally rocks | The Valley of The Rocks,North Devon (pt3)

The final part of our trip to North Devon, read previous post to check where else we’ve been.

The Valley of the Rocks - S W Coast Path, Lynton EX35 6JH

On our way home we decided to visit the Valley of Rocks. The Valley of the Rocks (also known as ‘Valley of Rocks’) is a dramatic section of coastline on the northern edge of Exmoor. It is a popular tourist destination, noted for its herd of feral goats, and for its landscape and geology. I can’t exactly remember if there was a pay&display car park, but I’m pretty sure it’s where we parked. There were also public toilets on site. Sorry, baby brain and I’m writting this post in 2022 while this trip happened 5 years ago. LOL

Bearing in mind I was 6 months pregnant, we ended up walking a short distance. We also spent some time just staring at the lanscape. We spotted few goats grazi g on the rocks. The weather couldn’t be any better! Fun memory: At the end of our stroll I slipped on a sheep poo and landed on my knee… I was fine, just embaressed… it was the end of our visit to North Devon for the first time. I felt in love with this place. I feel that it’s hugely underrated. Everybody seems to be driving through Devon on their way to Cornwall, but to be honest I think it’s as beautiful.
